He's Everything He Said  Written based on questions about heaven our Father's grandchildren would ask if they could talk to their grandfather, whom they've never known.  We were all very young when our father died, but His legacy is still very much alive and our children know him only through our shared memories and stories.  The first part of this song are actual questions they would ask him, and the second half is the answer we know our father would give.

He's Everything He Said  FA Fosdick,  WD Kyle

Daddy, it's been a long, long time * Seems like yesterday, but you're still on my mind. * How I miss you * Sometimes it seems so hard * Yet I envy you living with our Lord. * Will we weep no more? * Do the Angels sing? * Is it wrong of me to want to know these things? * Are there pearly gates? * Are the streets of gold? * Will I know you there? * Are we young or old? * Is it beautiful? * Is it like they say? * If I could talk to you. * I wish there was a way you could come to me and hold my hand * And help me understand. * * * Children, I hear you calling me * And I know it's hard to live faithfully. * But children, just stay down on your knees * Yes, He is the King * the Prince of Peace. * If I could talk to you * If I could hold your hand * If you could see my face I know you'd understand * You'd fall down on your knees * And bow your head * Cause He's everything He said!

Your Time To Shine  Written for our mom, who finished raising the five of us after our father passed away, at the time of her retirement.  It honors our mom and her sacrifices for her family.

Your Time To Shine  MM Dement

The story first began when Frances met her man * She knew their love was a gift from above * and it would never end. * While he was on the road * she made their house a home * She lived her life a preacher's wife * until God called him home. * And she let him shine * while she stood close behind. * She let him know that she loved him so. * And she let him shine.   * With five kids left to raise *  and old bills left to pay * the work was hard but she looked to the Lord * to make it through each day. * And as her children grew * the skies weren't always blue * but they knew she cared * she was always there  * to somehow see them through. * And she let them shine * while she stood close behind * she let them know that she loved them so * and she let them shine. * Now her kids are grown  * with families of their own * they need her still and always will * but in a different role. * Looking back we see  * how strong she had to be  * we thank you mom * for all you've done * and now your days are free. * And it's your time to shine * We're standing close behind * we hope you know that we love you so * And it's your time to shine.

Listen With Your Heart  A fun, up beat gospel song.  Do you often wonder why God doesn't speak to you the way he supposedly speaks to others?  Well, he does!  Just don't listen with your ears, "listen with your heart".

Listen With Your Heart  MM Dement

Well I wonder what it wrong with me, what could my problem be? * Other's say they've talked to God, but He hasn't talked to me. * I've read His word and prayed to Him and waited for a sign * And then one day it all came clear * How could I be so blind? * Have you ever listened to * The leaves blowing in the wind * or the cry of a new born babe? * Have you ever listened to  * that powerful thunder roll * or the rhythm of the rain? * Have you ever listened to * the voice of an aging loved one singing amazing grace? * Just listen with your heart * he talk to you everyday. * Now the bible that was on the shelf was calling out my name * but I could not hear it calling me * I was caught up in life's game. * But now I listen carefully to what God has to say. * And it's good to know He's in control * And He'll show me the way. ** chorus **  Well now we're talking all the time and everywhere we go * There may not be a soul around but I know I'm not alone. * Sometimes His voice is soft and sweet * and sometimes it's loud and strong. * Sometimes it's with a melody * And that's why I sing this song.  ** chorus**
